On SUNDAY JULY - 4th. " BEAT-MEET 2010 " will take place at: FOUR REASONS, Lange Mare 43, in the centre of LEIDEN, HOLLAND.

THE VENUE is well known to collectors throughout Holland because of the "Holland Record Fair" I have been organising there for over 25 years. It is situated on a broad road which makes (un)loading fairly easy and, especially on a sunday, parking should be no problem. Also, the venue is only a short walk from Leiden Central train station (which, by train, is only 15 minutes from Amsterdam-Schiphol-Airport ). Leiden is a picturesque town with canals and many 17th century monuments and even Paul McCartney himself visited Leiden in 2008 for a boat trip and to have dinner ! So bring the family!

"BEAT-MEET 2010" is intended as a Beatles collectors fair/market, it should be a great event for buying/selling/trading/meeting and talking : finding some nice items for your collection and doing some good Beatles-bizniz!

The fair will offer a great selection of Beatles LP's, 7inch singles and EP's , CD's, cd-singles, DVD's, video's, books, magazines and original 1960's Beatles memorabilia! A great place to find nice Beatles items!!The fair has been a goldmine especially for collectors of unusual European records and picture sleeves, and amazing memorabilia (often at surprising low prices, especially if compared to current UK/US or Japanese prices!).

Special guests will be Markus den Boer from Germany who will be presenting volume 1 of his worldwide Paul McCartney singles discography book and Patrick van den Hanenberg who will be presenting his book about John Lennon & Yoko Ono at the Amsterdam Hilton in 1969. Beatles writer Azing Moltmaker will be there with his 38th book and Ed Dieckmann will be presenting his Dutch Beatles discography books and the George Harrison "Dark Horse and Beyond" book. All authors will be selling and signing these books.

Live Beatles unplugged music will be provided by Nara-Gy and Patrick van den Hanenberg.

Admission for visitors will be just Euro 3,00.

*The fair will open to the public at 11.00 a.m. and will close at 16.00.

*Drinks/food available at the venue.

INTERNATIONALE BEATLES' VERZAMELAARS BEURS
IN LEIDEN OP ZONDAG 4 JULI.

The Beatles zijn al 40 jaar "uit elkaar" maar nog steeds houdt hun muziek miljoenen over de hele wereld bezig en zijn de verkopen van hun oude platen (cd's) gigantisch. Elk jaar gaan er wereldwijd nog miljoenen over de toonbank !!
De muziek van John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison & Ringo Starr mag ondertussen "klassiek" genoemd worden. Het nummer "Yesterday" werd zelfs verkozen tot "song van de (twintigste) eeuw".

40 jaar na het uiteenvallen van The Beatles, blijkt er nog steeds een grote belangstelling te bestaan voor alles wat de "fab four" gedaan hebben!
Beatles fans, verzamelaars en liefhebbers kunnen op Zondag 4 JULI terecht in het Antonius Zalencentrum/Four Reasons aan de Lange Mare 43 in Leiden (dicht bij station Leiden-Centraal en met ruime parkeergelegenheid in de buurt) waar , al voor de 23ste keer, "BEAT-MEET" plaats vindt.

Op deze Beatles beurs kunnen fans, liefhebbers en verzamelaars lekker snuffelen tussen de duizenden LP's, singletjes, CD's, DVD's, boeken, bladen,video's en memorabilia die te kijk, te koop of te ruil zijn.

Er worden standhouders uit Engeland, Duitsland, Belgie en Nederland verwacht, dus het aanbod zal spectaculair zijn. Voor dit evenement komen bezoekers vanuit de hele wereld (zelfs vanuit Japan en de USA) naar Nederland!!

Beatles schrijver Azing Moltmaker van het Beatles Museum in Alkmaar komt op deze beurs met zijn 38 ste boek. Patrick van den Hanenberg (theaterjournalist van de Volkskrant) presenteert het mede door hem geschreven boek over de Hiltonweek van John Lennon en Yoko Ono in 1969. Markus den Boer (Dld) presenteert zijn "Paul McCartney Worldwide Discography"boek. Ook aanwezig is Ed Dieckmann, de schrijver van het boek "Beatles-Made in Holland" (een uit 2 delen bestaand compleet overzicht van de in Nederland gemaakte Beatles en solo platen). Deze boeken zijn op de beurs te koop en worden op verzoek door de schrijvers gesigneerd.

Unplugged Beatles live muziek wordt verzorgd door Patrick van den Hanenberg en door Nara-Gy.
Bezoekers kunnen ook Beatles platen of souveniers mee nemen om te ruilen/verkopen of vrijblijvend te laten taxeren.

Deze dag wordt georganiseerd door Franck Leenheer in samenwerking met www.beatlesfanclub.nl, de best bezochte Nederlandstalige Beatles website.
